I love seeing photos of the locations without the TV edited frame. It is the reality/ tv reality comparison.

Who else thought Hugo's mom (in the photo holding baby Hugo, not the older Lillian Hurst!) looked a lot like sidekick22?

Haven't been able to listen to the podcast yet, but the episode was so good (and explosive!) You did such a good job, Jorge.

You did a wonderful job in this episode, I can't wait to listen!

Jorge and Sidekick22,

Listening to your podcast as I write.

In reference to your discussion regarding Richard asking "What the island is", I believe the answer he was looking for was "It's a Cork" (to hold in Evil, Hell, etc) from Ab Aeterno.

RebEllen said...

Great job Jorge and thanks Sidekick22 your input is always appreciated and loved.

I found it interesting that in the part you recorded on Feb 15 there was a reference to Willy Wonka; however, we didn't see that in this episode. We did, however, get a dose of Willy Wonka in the preview. Interesting.

I love you guys' podcast. I'm in the middle of listening to this one, but I thought I would just say that the twilight zone episode you mention is "The Howling Man." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Howling_Man

When Richard says "Ask him what the island is" ... "a long time ago, Jacob told me what the island was, if he's really here ask him."

Richard is referring to the fact that Jacob told him that the island was a Cork... with the whole thing with the darkness being the wine and trapped in the bottle and all that

This has to be my favorite Hurley centric episode. You were awesome, Jorge.

I think maybe best episode and podcast of the season, guys. Jorge, you and Cynthia just broke my heart. And watching you spit in Richard's eye was about as fun as it gets. Dude, you nailed both of those scenes to the wall.

When you faced down Richard, I immediately thought of the scene where Jacob told Hurley to tell Dogen to go screw. Such a beautiful through line on Hugo's growing confidence and leadership all season long, in both the acting and writing.

These podcasts are making it all even more fun as this epic journey winds to a close. If you could arrange some sort of final podcast with as many of the cast and crew you can drag in, that would be much appreciated. Maybe something to air after the season ends.

Remember, it only ends once. It's the only chance you'll likely ever get to do a podcast with the whole gang about what you all have accomplished. Can you use some of your Jacob-magic to make it happen, dude?

What happens to all that Mr.Cluck's stuff with your face plastered all over it, and all the other charity stuff from this episode-will you get to keep any of it? It would be sooo fun if you could! Hope they give you at least one of everything, man!

Jorge, you HAVE to get me an autographed Mr Clucks poster (like what's behind you and Ian in the pic)!

Thanks!

(As usual, awesome episode, awesome podcast!)

L-O-V-E the shot of you right after the explosion, where the camera zooms in and you turn and look back. As soon as I saw it, I thought...that's an awesome shot of Hurley/Jorge; I have to take a picture of that. I rewound it 3 times and re-watched the scene. Then paused it and took a photo. It's my desktop background photo now. : )

Man I want that Outback Roasters poster... I hope you guys snatched one!

I can't believe Jorge said "...totally C**Kblocks Hurley for some reason ..." on the podcast!
I nearly pee'd myself laughing so hard.

Good episode guys :-)
My comments:

I can totally understand why you can't really address theory emails anymore. Still would love to know you're reaction to watching the chair in the wooden box scene re: Jacob's Cabin...

You guys have been "whooshing" your brains out. People need to listen closer!

They really didn't make Chang look older at all, and as you predicted, it's a big point of contention among fans... lol
Not sure why they messed that up.

Heheh, I think it's so sweet that Jorge thinks Hurley visits Libby's grave to give her updates on what's happening.

Interesting "safety" technique Beth! I'll have to try it some time...

I'm also wondering why Jacob is leaving Hurley to his own devices now, especially since it's leading him right to the MIB, when before Jacob made sure him and Jack stayed away from the MIB.

Ilana blowing up was probably the low point of the epi for me. Nothing being physically affected by the explosion was the least of my concerns. But I wont get in to that here...

Oh man... I didn't know they threw raw chicken at you for the Mr. Cluck's thing. LOL. that's terrible.

Good insight from Nestor... I'm scared he's probably right.

Good point about the two universes Jorge. What does happen when Hurley or Libby realize that she dies in the Island timeline?

Agree with Jorge that the Whispers "answer" was pretty crudely addressed.

187 - Murder Death Kill.....

Demolition Man.

(For Sidekick 22)

Awesome episode, great acting from Jorge, as usual. If the rest of the season is this good, it's gonna be an awesome ride to the finale.

Many thanks for the podcast, keep up the good work!

187 was also the "tag" for murder convicts in "Fortress" (with Christopher Lambert). It was tattooed on the forehead of one of the bad guys.

I yelled out "NUNU!" when I saw her sweet little face. Her big debut, aww.

I just tried something new. I listened to the podcast while watching the recorded episode muted. The scenes on my screen didn't quite sync up with the ones you were discussing, but then it's not like I expected them to. It was a fun experiment anyway.

Anyway, I LOVED this episode! All those Libby & Hurley scenes were a pleasant surprise. And it was a very... explosive episode! Heh.

Just want to let you both know just how much my husband & I enjoy your podcast. Not just enjoy it, but appreciate it. It's a pretty awesome thing for the fans, feeling like you're sitting there with us, discussing the show we love so much. God, how I'll miss it all when it's over.
Anyhow, love the show, love the podcast, love both of you for being so generous with your time, so thank you. So much.

had to say... I got chills whenever "Hurley" started to remember the flash side ways. So cool!

Great episode, and podcast! Like someone else said, I think when Richard told Hugo to ask Jacob what the Island was, the answer would have been "Cork" which was revealed in the Richard episode earlier this year.

Also, what I noticed from the podcast, was they made no mention of Hugo winning the Lottery in the episode! But you talked about it being in the script. Guess they cut those scenes out? or never filmed them?

Anyway, looking forward to the next episode!

187 (or One Eight Seven) was also an awesome Samuel L. Jackson movie about violent students.

I did the same thing! You and Sidekick 22 must be so proud of her! :)

Greetings from Ireland. The no-fly zone country. Why? the black smoke from Iceland.

I just heard your bit on "Jay and Jack". That was funny.....but laughs aside at this point I actually would like to see my favourites drop their back-packs.

Seeing Keamy get killed for example didn't even make me twitch but if Hurley or Desmond got killed the grief would also be entertaining.

Daniel Faraday had a good death (no Klingon pun intended). Yes, I'm hoping to be upset by someone I like getting killed or I'll be upset. lol.

This was one of my favourite episodes! It's about memories, about fate and about the "re-call" of parallel life what makes it on my top 10 list. And of course, it's your power, Jorge, because Hugo seems to be a constant in that reality.

My question is: where is Hugos father actually? Is he still on the run from his fate in that parallel universe?

And: much more important question. Back to the "Dave" episode, where we've seen Libby in Santa Rosa. Was it perhaps the same Libby? The same Santa Rosa = and ergo the parallel Universe we've seen? A glimpse of 6th Season, so to say?

P.S. Jorge - you are my favourite actor in LOST, you were before this episode, and you are even more after it.

i have to say as a witness to beth "acting crazy", ie spitting on herself, not others (which is very much appreciated), it totally works. so this would explain why you were so weird that night walking through waikiki. although i didn't hear any barking that night, aww BOO!!
